We have seen many tablets launched from various brands at the ongoing CES 2016 event. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Haier has also announced a new tablet called as Haier Pad 971 at the CES 2016 event. The Haier Pad 971 sports premium looks and features mid-range specifications. It is the Wi-Fi only tablet and runs on older Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
The Haier Pad 971 features full-metal body built out of aluminum and feels premium in hand as it measures just 7.6 mm at its thickest and weighs around 540 grams. Talking about the specifications, the tablet features a 9.7-inch QXGA (2048×1536 pixels) LCD offering a pixel density of 264ppi. The tablet comes equipped with Rockchip RK3288 quad-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 2GB RAM and ARM Mali-T760 GPU for smooth performance of the device.
On the camera part, the device sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and on the front, it has a 2MP shooter for video chats and selfie images. The standard connectivity options on the Wi-Fi enabled tablet includes Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG functionality. The tablet comes backed by a 7800mAh battery that the company claims can last upto 6 hours of video playback and upto 8 days of standby time. The tablet features full-metal body and has 4 speakers powered by Harman/Kardon technology. The MediaPad M2 10.0 features 10.1-inch full-HD display, Kirin 930 octa-core SoC, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/64GB onboard storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter, 4G-LTE connectivity and 6660mAh battery. The tablet also sports a fingerprint sensor, bundled stylus and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based EMUI 3.1 out of the box.
