- Please note that if the files are not selected as mentioned in the above then there is a high possibility that you will be bricking the phone as all the system files become corrupted.
- Now after selecting the files in the Odin as mentioned above, put your phone in the download mode which can be done by pressing Middle Key(OK Key) + Power key and Volume Down Key simultaneously before connecting to PC after which the phone will enter in the download mode. Please note that if you proceed before entering the download mode then try again so that you enter into the download mode. Its not recommended to flash with the firmware or to proceed to the next step if you are unable to enter your phone in the download mode.
- Now, as soon as you connect your phone, the COM Port Mapping box as shown in the below screen shot changes to yellow colour when the phone with download mode is connected to PC by data cable.
- So, that’s it after getting into the download mode, click on the start tab after which the updation process will be initiated and will take a time of up to 5 minutes to install the firmware files in your Samsung Galaxy Ace. So, as soon as the firmware update gets finished you will see a screen as shown below,
