How To Update Samsung Galaxy Ace GT S5830 to Gingerbread 2.3.3 XXKP9 Firmware

Procedure to update Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 with Gingerbread 2.3.3 XXKP9:

  • After downloading the Complete Upgrade which contains the Odin, Boot file, Phone file, PDA file, CSC file which are the parameters with which you will be updating your phone. Please note that as soon as you download the above said package in your computer, you will have to unzip the same and while unzipping if it prompts for the password then all you need to enter the password as “androidadvices.com” after which ensure that you are extracting in a folder which is placed in the desktop so that you can easily access the same.

  • Now, just open the Odin Multi downloader in which you will be updating all the parameters as you can see in the below screen shot. If you already have Odin which you downloaded earlier then too you will have to make use of this Odin itself.

  • Now, put your phone in the download mode which can be done by pressing Middle Key(OK Key) + Power key and Volume Down Key simultaneously before connecting to PC after which the phone will enter in the download mode. Please note that if you proceed before entering the download mode then try again so that you enter into the download mode. Its not recommended to flash with the firmware or to proceed to the next step if you are unable to enter your phone in the download mode. Its very important to enter into the download mode as it acts just like the safe mode.
  • After getting into the download mode, you will have to now connect your phone to the computer after which you will see that the COM Port Mapping box as shown in the below screen shot changes to yellow colour when the phone with download mode is connected to PC by data cable. If it doesn’t turn yellow then that means that your phone is not ready to proceed or the download mode is not entered. Apart from that, some times it also takes time in turning the block yellow as it loads all the required drivers.

  • Now, after connecting the phone and without changing any other parameters you will have to select the files as they are mentioned below, this is vry important step, if any of the file is wrongly entered then you will end up bricking the phone for which we can’t be held responsible in any manner what so ever.

  • That’s it after entering all the files as mentioned above click on the start tab after which the updation process will be initiated and will take a time of up to 5 minutes to install the firmware files in your Samsung Galaxy Ace. So, as soon as the firmware update gets finished you will see a screen as shown below,

  • In the process upgradation ensure that you have a continuous power supply so that it doesn’t interrupt the upgradation process and also if an unlikely event the process is interrupted then your device will become un usable and to bring your device back to life you will have to again follow the process right from the start. As you can see that the device is being updated int he below screen shot,
  • Processing Update

  • So, after the updation process is completed you will have to wait till you see home screen in your phone and also in the Odin you will see that a Blue colored box will be glowing up as shown in the below screen shot,
