Apart from the announcement of the HTC Desire 501, the company has announce a 5-inch smartphone, the HTC Desire 700 which comes with a qHD display, and priced at NT$ 13900. For now, it is available in the Taiwanese market, and it would be exclusive through the Chunghwa Telecom network and HTC hasn’t announced anything about its global launch and availability. The Desire 700 comes with a 5-inch screen with the qHD display with a screen resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, and the smartphone has some very decent internal specifications.
It’s the 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor that powers the HTC Desire 700, and it is backed by 1GB DDR2 RAM for the multitasking. The smartphone runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS and its the HTC Sense UI along with the HTC BlinkFeed home screen. It’s a Dual SIM device with the 3G + 2G connectivity, and thus one can understand they can connect to the 3G networks through one SIM card. The cameras included in the HTC Desire 700 are – 8-megapixel rear camera with the BSI sensor and LED flash, and it can record videos at Full HD 1080p quality, and there is a front 2.1-megapixel camera with the BSI sensor.
There is HTC BoomSound with with the dual frontal speakers with the built-in amplifier speakers, which was the same included in the Desire 600 device. The internal storage provided in this smartphone is 8GB and this can be expanded further to 64GB with the MicroSD card support. The connectivity options are quite good, with the 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, but unlike the Desire 501, there is no NFC connectivity provided in this. The Desire 700 sports a 2100 mAh battery. For now, the color options that we get to see are the Black and white, and we can get to know about the other colors and the global availability very soon.
