HTC unveils an all new charger for android smartphones which promises to charge its selected devices up to 40% faster. Dubbed as “HTC Rapid Charger 2.0”, this new charger comes with the Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology which empowers the devices to charge faster by providing support with such kind of chargers provided by HTC. Everyone would like to charge their smartphones faster than ever and with technologies like Quick charge, devices can now charge faster than before. Quick Charge 2.0 is the technology which is available in the Snapdragon series of processor laden smartphones. Just recently, Motorola also announced the launch of Turbo charging with Droid Turbo. What is Quick Charge 2.0?
Quick Charge 2.0 is the next generation of Quick Charge and is an upgrade to 1.0 version of Quick Charge. This capability supports selected devices which are powered with Snapdragon 800, 600 and 400 series processors. This features the fully USB-interoperable backward-compatible charging for 6V, 9V, 12V chargers and more. Quick Charge is the technology of Qualcomm. We have also shown you on what is the typical behavior in conventional charging, Quick Charge 1.0 and Quick Charge 2.0.Quick charge is again a technology ans to support this one has to have the charger which also supports the Quick Charge 2.0 capability. HTC listing suggests that devices charge 40% quicker than the standard chargers.

List of Supported Devices:
Currently only a handful of devices are being supported and are; HTC One (M8), HTC One remix, HTC One (E8), and the HTC Desire Eye. Going down the lines, there will be many more HTC devices which will be supporting this new Rapid charger 2.0.
