Apart from the above settings the following are the other instructions to go with –
- Always you should make sure that you have turned off the GPS whenever not in use as the continuous searches for places on maps will need to send and receive data from the network.
- Disable User Packet Data – Go to Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile networks to help you extend the battery life. During this User Packet data disable you cannot receive the MMS messages.

- Disable Auto Sync – From the Settings go to Account and sync and then disable the auto sync of your Gmail, mails, Dropbox and other applications which require data access.

- The Bluetooth also should be turned off immediately after when you have finished sending the files over the Bluetooth.
- If you are not using the 3G network provided by your telecom operator and continuously require only 2G mode them it’s better to keep your phone in 2G mode rather than going with dual-mode.
- If you have a turned on the Wi-Fi tethering or Bluetooth tethering then please make sure that you have turned OFF the Wi-Fi sharing option whenever not required. Wi-Fi tether is highest battery draining component as it makes your phone work like a network router.
- If you have turned on the Wi-Fi Direct sharing option then disable the same when the work is done.
- We all love photographs and battery doesn’t like camera application. So whenever you are taking photos or recording videos then make sure that you don’t get your camera in standby mode for a longer period of time.
- Since the Android is for the multi tasking and Galaxy Note being the high-end smartphone, you will be running many applications in parallel which runs in the background and it should be closed from time to time. These applications can be closed with the help built-in task killer and close the applications when the work of it is done by going through Settings > Applications > Manage Applications.
With the above steps you can easily save battery life which will also increase the battery life of your Samsung Galaxy Note.
