Intex has unveiled another low priced smartphone in India after its Firefox OS devices. The Intex Aqua T2 will be the lowest priced Android device that will run Android KitKat Operating System out of the box. After the Intex Cloud FX that was launched for Rs. 1,900, now it time for an Android device for Rs 2,699. This device is targeted for the first time users and also for youth. This device will be available exclusively via India’s biggest e-commerce website Flipkart.
The Intex Aqua T2 will sport a 3.5 inch touch screen display with 320 x 480 pixels resolutions and will run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. The device is powered by a dual core 1.3 GHz processor, coupled with 256 MB of RAM. The RAM memory is too low compared to other low end devices but considering the price of the device we cannot be expecting much from the device. There is a 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery on the back of the device to power it.
The Intex Aqua T2 will come with a 2 MP rear facing camera with flash and it is accompanied with a VGA camera on the front for video calling and selfies. The on-board memory of the device is at 512 MB, and nothing was mentioned about the extendable storage. The device is a dual SIM variant and with the support of two GSM SIM’s. The device also has the connectivity options lime Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and comes preloaded with many games and apps. Sad part is that the device will be supporting on 2G networks and 3G is not available.
The device will be exclusively available from Flipkart for Rs. 2,699 and will come in Black and Grey colour variants. We have seen Google Android One Devices getting launched yesterday for around 6,300 with much better specifications and it will be interesting to see how this device will be featuring with the heavy competition in the entry level market.
