With the festive season around, the Indian smartphone manufacturer, Intex has been launching one device after the other in the domestic smartphone market. Today, the company has unveiled yet another budget smartphone in its Aqua series dubbed as Intex Aqua Young priced at Rs. 5,090. The smartphone is now listed on the brand’s official website with complete details and it is expected to be officially launched in coming days.
The Intex Aqua Young comes with a 5-inch (480×854 pixels) FWVGA IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection on top of it. Under the hood, is the Spreadtrum (SC7731) quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 1GB DDR2 RAM, 8GB built-in storage out of which only 4.67GB is available for customer use, but can be further expanded via a microSD card slot upto 32GB.
The device sports a 5MP fixed focus rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. The rear camera of the smartphone comes with various modes like Slow motion video recording, Panorama, Vol up/down key for capturing an image and Capture image during recording, by tapping anywhere on the screen. It has dual sim dual standby support and includes basic connectivity options like 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB port.
The smartphone comes with many additional features like Smart awake, Gesture support, Cast Screen and also includes many pre-loaded apps like FOTA, Matrabhasa, Intex Service, Opera mini, Chaatz, Amazon, Goibibo, Follo, Freecharge, Magic VAS Application. The handset comes backed by a 2500mAh battery that delivers upto 9.30 of talk time and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Its dimensions measure 145.3 x 72 x 9.5 mm weighs around 158 grams and will arrive in colors- Dark Grey, White, and Champagne.
To recap, Intex has recently launched a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as Aqua Play priced at Rs. 3,249. The Aqua Play features a 4-inch TFT display, MediaTek (MTK6572W) dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB onboard storage, 0.3MP front/rear cameras and 1400mAh battery. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and is available in colors- Black, Blue and White.
