1] News

iOS 9 brings a new app called News which is inspired from Flipboard that Apple says offers “the best online reading experience.” The app replaces Newstand and it will start rolling out in the U.S., U.K. and Australia before coming to other countries. News will show consumers samplings of content from big media partners including ESPN, the New York Times, Conde Nast, Hearst etc.

2] Proactive Assistant

Apple also announced proactive assistant feature. It offers up contacts you might want to call or text based on your upcoming meetings, and suggests apps you might want to download based on the ones you already have. Just like Google Now, Siri will use the calendar app to give you time to leave reminders based on traffic. Mail can look in your email and suggest Caller ID for unknown numbers.

3]Split-Screen

Splitscreen is the new feature introduced by Apple. It allows to run two apps at the same time, side by side. SlideOver lets you slide from the side to get another app, such as Messages. If you pull down from the top using the new app switcher, you can switch this app and select another one.

With SplitView, both apps stay active and you can do things in both at the same time. You can drag and drop stuff from one app to another, which should make sending photos much easier. If you swipe with four fingers, you can switch the two active apps. Apps can be 50/50 or 70/30 on screen.

Many Google Android tablets and phones already have split-screen functionalities.
