The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oukitel is all set to launch its new flagship U9, soon. Oukitel till date have released only a couple of budget smartphones in China, but the company is still not that well known as other Chinese brands including Xiaomi, OnePlus, Elephone, Meizu, Coolpad, and Gionee. Oukitel mostly does research for other manufacturers or bring smartphone under the name of other manufacturers.
The Oukitel U9 will come with a 5.5-inch 1920*1080 pixels FHD 2.5D display. It will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 processor, which is a 64-bit octa-core SoC coupled with 3 GB of RAM. The MT6753 SoC supports most of the 4G band out there. The phone will also include 3100mAh of Battery.
On the camera front, the device will include a 16-megapixel rear camera. It will run on Android 5.1 right out of the box. There’s no word on pricing as yet, but it expected to be priced around $200. The Oukitel U9 is expected to be available from the middle of next month in the white and gold color options.
The latest smartphone launched by Oukitel is the U8. The U8 is a quad-core smartphone and features frameless design. U8 also have Touch ID fingerprint scanner placed on the back. It is powered by MediaTek MT6735 quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with FDD 4G support coupled with 2GB of RAM. It runs on Android Lollipop.
The smartphone is 7.9mm thick; it’s dual SIM with dual standby mode. U8 sports a 5.5 inch IPS 2.5D curved screen supporting 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Also included is a 13MP autofocus primary (rear) camera with dual-tone LED flash support and a front camera of 5MP resolution.
