Update: Lenovo has officially launched the A7000 smartphone in India, today. It has been priced at Rs 8,999.The smartphone is the successor to the company’s Lenovo A6000. It will go on sale on Flipkart starting April 15th, registrations start today.
The Lenovo A7000 features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display. Its powered by octa-core 1.5GHz (MediaTek MT6572M) processor with 2GB of RAM. The A7000 features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The internal storage on the handset is 8GB, which is expandable via microSD card (unknown capacity). Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G/ LTE (FDD Band 1, 3, 7, 20; TDD Band 40), Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB, just like its predecessor.
Earlier: Lenovo has started sending out invite for the launch of a new smartphone. It is expected to launch the A7000 smartphone. The event is scheduled for the April 7th. The A7000 smartphone was unveiled at MWC, last month. According to the Invitation, to the Launch, there’s a hint about the Dolby Atmos speakers that were a part of the A7000 and hence we are confirmed about this upcoming launch in India. The Lenovo A7000 features a 5.5-in HD display with ultra-wide viewing angles and moving audio technology from Dolby. It’s the world’s first smartphone to feature Dolby Atmos technology, as claimed by Lenovo. The smartphone runs on Android 5.0. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek True8Core™ processor with 4G LTE. The A7000 is 7.9mm thin and just 140 grams light.
Lenovo A7000 has been priced at $169, and it’ll ship sometime in the month of March. The smartphone comes in two colors: Onyx Black or Pearl White.
