Lenovo has recently launched two new battery-focused smartphones called as Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m in India priced at Rs. 15,999 and 7,999 respectively. Today, the company has launched a new innovative device called as Vibe S1 in India. The Vibe S1 was first announced at IFA 2015 event and is one of the first devices to come with dual front cameras. Unlike the Vibe P1 and P1m, the Vibe S1 will be sold exclusively via Amazon and is priced at Rs. 15,999.
Coming to the specifications, the Vibe S1 will sport a 5-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) display and will come powered by MediaTek MT6752 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. The device has 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage with microSD card support for expansion upto 128GB. The device comes backed by a 2420mAh battery and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop based Vibe UI out of the box.
On the camera front, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and dual tone LED flash. The main highlight of the smartphone is the dual front-facing snappers – an 8MP shooter for high quality clicks and a 2MP shooter ‘Depth of Feild’ effet. It supports dual sim dual standby and includes connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port.
The device sports a polycarbonate body combined with a metal trim bezel that holds front and curved rear glass surfaces. The glossy curved rear panel provides good grip to the user and is also protected with latest Gorilla Glass. The power button and volume rockers are placed on the right while the SIM tray is placed on the left side of the device. The dimensions of the handset measure 143.3 x 70.8 x 7.8 mm weighs around 132 grams and is available in colors- Pearl White and Midnite Blue.
