Lenovo launched the Vibe S1 smartphone in India a couple of months ago priced at Rs. 15,999. The device comes with dual front-facing shooters and is available for purchase online exclusively via Amazon. Today, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has officially announced the smaller variant of the smartphone called as Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite, and it features mid-range specifications.
Talking about the specifications, the Vibe S1 Lite flaunts the same 5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 440ppi as earlier seen in the Vibe S1. Under the hood, it packs MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz accompanied with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Like the Vibe S1, this smartphone also features hybrid sim slot that lets you use microSD card instead of the second sim.
On the camera cordon, the device sports a 13MP autofocus rear camera with PDAF and dual LED flash. On the front, it has an 8MP Sony shooter also accompanied with LED flash to capture perfect selfie images. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage that is further expandable using a microSD card slot upto 32GB. The handset supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Vibe UI out of the box.
The smartphone comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and microUSB 2.0 port. The handset comes backed by a slightly larger 2700mAh battery that can easily last for an entire day on mixed usage when compared to the 2420mAh battery seen on the Vibe S1. The smartphone feels premium in hands as it sports metal frame around the sides and is very sleek measuring 8.5 mm thickness and weighs around 129 grams.
