LG G4 Beat (G4s) with 5.2″ Display, Snapdragon 615 Officially Launched

LG Electronics has officially unveiled its newest variant of its LG G4 flagship smartphone, the LG G4 Beat. The LG G4 Beat(LG G4s in Europe and CIS Region) will make its debut this month in key markets in Europe and Latin America, including France, Germany and Brazil before rolling out globally in markets such as Canada, India, Russia, Singapore, South Africa and Turkey, among others.

The LG G4 Beat comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS Display. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor running eight cores at 1.5GHz with integrated 4G LTE. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with LG UX 4.0.

In many regions, the device will feature an 8MP rear camera with Color Spectrum Sensor and Laser Auto Focus, while select Latin America markets will get a variant with 13MP camera. The front-facing camera is a 5MP unit with Gesture Interval Shot.

The connectivity options include 4G LTE support along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. The handset measures 9.85mm thick and houses a 2,300 mAh removable battery. The smartphone will be made available in Metallic Silver, Ceramic White and Shiny Gold. There is no word on pricing yet.

The LG G4 S recently appeared on the GFXBench site where it was benchmarked. Last week, a website had leaked out new images of this new LG mid-range handset that, according to reports, the electronics company is currently developing and aims to release very soon.

The Benchmark listing for the LG G4 S shows it will sport a 5.2-inch panel with a resolution of 1,920 x 1080 and will be powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 graphics processing unit. As for the snappers, you’ll find an 8MP sensor on its backside to go along with a 5MP camera on the front. It is expected to ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

LG recently introduced the G4 Stylus, a bigger version, and G4c, a smaller version, of the original G4. The G4 Stylus features a 5.7-inch display, which is slightly larger than the 5.5-inch display seen on the G4. As the name suggests, it sports a stylus for note taking.

Some of the features of LG G4c and G4 Stylus smartphones include Gesture Shot, which allows the camera to open and close a hand in front of the lens to start a three-second countdown for the shutter; Knock Code, and Glance View, which shows key notifications on the display when it is turned off.
