LG-H840 with 5.3″ 2K Display, 3GB RAM & 32GB Storage Spotted on GFXBench

LG has been in the rumor rounds for a while now about the launch of its flagship LG G5 at the MWC 2016 event on Feb 21st in Barcelona. The company has recently confirmed that the smartphone will sport an Always-on display and is expected to feature Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Today, an unannounced smartphone from LG has surfaced on GFXBench listing with model number LG-H840 revealing few key specifications. We can expect the unannounced smartphone to be the smaller variant of LG G5 and is supposed to be called as LG G5 Lite.

As per the GFXBench listing, the LG-H840 will flaunt a 5.3-inch (2560×1440 pixels) QHD display and is expected to come equipped with Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz clubbed with Adreno 510 GPU. The device will support dual sim dual standby and will have connectivity options like 4G-LTE, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC and microUSB port. It has 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and there is no information about the inclusion of a microSD card slot.

On the camera front, the smartphone will sport an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front shooter for video chats and selfie lovers. The camera on the device can also record videos in 4K resolution. As per the listing, the device will run on older Android 4.4 KitKat, but we can actually expect to come running on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The company has confirmed neither of the above details, so we advise you take this with a pinch of salt. A quick recall, LG has recently released two new smartphones in its all-new K series called as LG K10 and LG K4 in Italy priced at $246 and $130 respectively. The LG K10 is the mid-range device, it features 5.3-inch HD 2.5D display, MediaTek quad-core SoC, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13MP camera and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. On the other hand, the entry-level LG K4 features 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage, 4G-LTE, 5MP camera and 1940mAh battery.
