LG announced the all-new K-series smartphones back in January this and are already available in select major markets. As teased earlier, LG has recently announced the all-new K series for the Indian market with the launch of LG K7 and LG K10 smartphones at an event held in New Delhi. These are the first smartphones launched by the company promoting the ‘Make In India‘ initiative. The LG K7 is the budget smartphone priced at Rs. 9,500 and comes with entry-level specifications. The LG K10 is priced at Rs. 13,500 and also comes with a free smart quick cover.
Commenting at the launch event, Mr. Kim Ki-Wan, Managing Director, LG Electronics India, said, “India is a strategic market for LG globally and the decision to manufacture smartphones in India underscores our commitment to our customers here. We want to tap the huge potential for smartphones in the country, and the K-series will be the first ones to be manufactured in India. While these devices are in the sub 15k price band, they have features typically seen only in premium devices. We are optimistic that the Indian consumers will love the premium-ness of the K7 and K10 at regular prices.”

The LG K7 features a 5-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA 2.5D arc display with In-Cell technology and 188ppi as pixel density. Under the hood, it packs Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz clubbed with Adreno 305 GPU, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage and a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory. On the camera front, the device sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter for video calling and selfie clicks.
The device supports dual sim dual standby and comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port 2.0. The handset comes backed by a 2125mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based LG’s Custom UI out of the box. The dimensions of the device measure 143.6 x 72.5 x 9.05 mm weighs around 147 grams and will come in White, Gold and Titan color variants
The LG K10 flaunts a 5.3-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with In-cell technology, 2.5D arc glass, and 277ppi as pixel density. The device comes powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory. The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based LG’s UX UI out of the box. It comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi and microUSB 2.0 port.
On the photographic section, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing snapper for video calling and selfie lovers. The handset comes backed by a 2300mAh battery that the company claims has the power to last for an entire day of mixed usage. The smartphone comes with unique glossy pebble design and also has unique features like Gesture Shot, Tap and Shot, Knock Code and much more.Its dimensions measure 144.7 x 73.6 x 8.7 mm and is available in White, Gold, and Indigo color options.
