Update: According to the latest report, a source has confirmed that LG will be building the Nexus 5 (2015). Rather than basing the Nexus 5 (2015) on its latest flagship, the LG G4, it is claimed that LG will be creating the new handset from scratch. There were reports that Google is planning to launch two Nexus devices this year. Recently, Google has just announced a price drop on its Nexus 6.
As we earlier reported, Google might launch two Nexus devices – one to be made by LG codenamed “LG Bullhead” and believed to be the Nexus 5 (2015), and another device to be made by Huawei under codename “Huawei Angler”. The device manufactured by Huawei is expected to feature a 5.7-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC and a 2,700mAh battery.

According to a new report from Korea, LG’s next Nexus device will be running Android M out of the box, and it will allegedly take advantage of a 3D camera setup. Rumours have it that Google plans to launch not one, but two Nexus smartphones this year and they will be manufactured by two brands: Huawei and LG.
A certain local part manufacturer has supplied LG Electronics with a 3D camera module to be used on LG’s upcoming Nexus smartphone. Another key feature mentioned in the report is Android M, on which the Nexus flagship will run. This is the usual practice Google follows for each of its flagship devices.
While there are not many details, the report does mention that the 3D camera will incorporate two camera modules and an infrared sensor to provide 3D-based graphics and an intuitive UI. Besides, the device is expected to feature fingerprint authentication. The purported device is also said to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. The phone will reportedly debut in October.
Last month, some reports suggested that the Huawei-made next-gen Nexus is expected to take on the design elements from its upcoming high-end Mate 8 smartphone. Chinese publication MyDrivers reports that the next Huawei-made Nexus smartphone will come with a 5.7-inch 2K screen and be powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset.
