Mango Phone (aka mPhone), a Kerala-based smartphone company has officially debuted in the Indian smartphone market with the launch of as many as six smartphones and a smartwatch in an event held in India a couple of days ago. The smartphones will be placed in the mid-range to premium categories suiting a wide variety of customers. It is also worth mentioning that the newly launched mPhones are re-branded Elephone smartphones. The company has also been in the news as two of their promoters were arrested during the launch event for a bank fraud case. All the smartphones are currently listed on the company’s official website as out of stock and are expected to go on sale in the country soon.

Mango Phone mPhone 5s

The mPhone 5s is the most affordable among all the devices and is priced at Rs. 11,999. The mPhone 5s is the rebranded Elephone S1 but with double RAM and internal storage. The smartphone features a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD On-Cell display offering a pixel density of 294ppi and comes powered by MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali-T760 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage and also includes a microSD card for expansion upto 64GB.
It supports dual sim dual standby and comes with connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. The smartphone sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. The device features rich looks with glossy unibody design and also includes a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. It packs a 2600mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The handset measures just 6.75 mm thickness and comes in Black White and Gold color options.
Mango Phone mPhone 6

The mPhone 6 is the slightly upgraded variant of the mPhone 5s and comes with improved specifications priced at Rs. 16,999. The smartphone features 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display and packs MediaTek MT6735A quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU. It features hybrid sim slot that lets you use microSD card instead of the second sim. It supports dual sim dual standby and has similar connectivity options like the mPhone 5s.
The smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and also includes an externalSD card slot for expansion upto 32GB. The device has 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture for video chats and selfie lovers. The smartphone also sports a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The handset is backed by a 3200mAh battery that is rated to deliver upto 12 hours of talk time and can last upto 180 hours of standby time.
Mango Phone mPhone 7 Plus

The mPhone 7 Plus falls in the upper mid-range category and offers more than decent specifications. The device comes with 5.5-inch full-HD display and fuels the MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali-T760 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage and can be further expanded to 64GB via microSD card slot. The device sports glossy unibody design and is very sleek measuring just 7.2mm thickness.
It supports dual sim dual standby and has connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. The smartphone sports a 16MP Sony IMX214 rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and an 8MP front camera for selfie clicks. The handset juices a 2600mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The mPhone 7 Plus will come in Gold, Black and White color options and is priced at Rs. 22,999.
Mango Phone mPhone 8

The mPhone 8 is the same device that was launched by Elephone as Elephone P9000. The smartphone is the only device that runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out the box. The mPhone 8 is priced at Rs. 27,999 that is very high when compared to Elephone P9000 that costs $270 (approx Rs. 18,250). The mPhone 8 flaunts a 5.5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) full-Hd LTPS display and has almost invisible bezels. Under the hood, is the MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with 4GB RAM, 32GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot for further expansion.
The smartphone features a 21MP rear camera with laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP selfie shooter with 84-degree wide angle lens to capture perfect images. It supports dual sim dual standby and includes connectivity options like 4G-LTE, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, Bluetooth and USB Type-C port. The device also has a fingerprint sensor and also supports wireless charging. It is backed by a 3050mAh battery that can deliver upto 10 hours of talk time and lasts upto 210 hours of standby time.
Mango Phone mPhone 9 Plus 3D

The mPhone 9 Plus 3D falls into the high-end category as is it priced at Rs. 34,999. The design of the smartphone mostly resembles the Elephone M2 but features slightly different specifications. The mPhone 9 Plus 3D features a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD display and comes equipped with 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with Mali-T720 GPU. As the name indicates, the smartphone offers 3D content with the naked eye, and you did not require any 3D glasses separately.
The device has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage and also be additionally expanded to 64GB via microSD card slot. The smartphone has the same set of camera’s like the M8, a 21MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie shooter. The handset is backed by a 3050mAh battery that can easily last for an entire day of mixed usage. The mPhone 11 Plus is of the most high-quality among all the device and is also most expensive priced at Rs. 39,999. It is the rebranded Elephone Vowney smartphone with the only significant difference being the internal storage option. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad-HD 2K display and offers a pixel density of 535ppi. Under the hood, it packs MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.95GHz clubbed with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The device comes with 128GB of onboard storage when compared to Elephone Vowney that is limited to 32GB of storage.
The device supports dual sim dual standby and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 128GB.
