Procedure to Update Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 S7710 with XXAMD2 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware:
- Download the XXAMD2 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware and Odin from here to your computer. Extract both the files in your computer and open Odin in your computer.
- Open Odin in your computer and turn Off your device so that it can be entered in the Download Mode. The download mode in Galaxy XCover 2 S7710 can be entered by pressing Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Up key to continue entering the Download Mode.
- Connect your Galaxy XCover 2 S7710 to the computer with the help of original USB cable and select the tar file which you got after extracting the PDA zip package.
- Once you have connected your phone, you can see that the ID : COM section will turn Yellow/ Green color depending upon the Odin version.
- Once selected, click on “START” for starting the process of rooting. Once the device is updated successfully, the phone will be rebooted after which you can disconnect the device from the computer.
Note: Just in a rare case if your Samsung device refuses to turn ON or say if it gets stuck on the Samsung Logo then you need to long press the power button to turn off the same or re insert the battery to start the process from beginning.
