Procedure to Update HTC Sensation XE with the Official ICS 3.32.401.105 OTA Firmware:
- First up download the 3.32.401.105 ICS 4.0.3 OTA Firmware Package from here to your computer. Don’t rename the package with any name as it will not detect the package in the device.
- Connect your htc Sensation XE device with the computer using the Original USB cable and place the downloaded ICS OTA Zip package in the device’s SD Card. Ensure that you are not placing the file deep into the device.
- Remove the connected USB connection and turn off the device so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. Hold down the Volume Down key and power up the device by pressing the power button. If the HBOOT menu doesn’t appear then you need to turn off fast boot in the Settings > Power menu.
- Select “Recovery” option in the HBoot menu to enter the device in the recovery mode. If the Clock Work mod recovery boots up then you need to flash the 1.73.401.4 RUU.
- As soon as you get the Red Exclamation mark on the screen, you now need to hold the Volume Up key and press the power button. It will say “can’t open cache/recovery/command” and then bring up the recovery menu where select the option of “apply an update from SD Card” after that select the OTA file which you have placed in the device.
Note: If your HTC Sensation XE gets in boot loop mode or gets stuck at HTC Logo, press the power button for 3- 4 seconds to turn off the device and then re follow all the instructions mentioned in this article so as to apply this ICS OTA Update.
