Procedure to Manual Update LG Prada 3 with Latest & Official ICS 4.0.4 Firmware:
- Download the V20D ICS 4.0.4 Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded you need to ensure that it’s a .kdz format of file. Now, assuming that you have installed all the necessary drivers in your computer you now need to open the “shttp3.exe” file in your computer and click on “Update Entry in Main Menu” & then click on “Add to Startup”. Once the password is set, click on “Install”
- Start ‘Small HTTP Server’ from the Start menu in the windows after which you will see that the ‘Settings’ icon on Task bar, then select HTTP tab and change port to ‘9002’, then click ‘OK’.
- Up next head to the path “C:\shttps” in which you will find the “WWW” folder, open the same and then in a separate Window, you will have to go to the path “C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc”.
- Copy the “hosts” file present in the path ‘C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc’ to ‘ORIG’ folder which is there at ‘HOSTS’ folder in flash package folder, which is nothing but the V20D .kdz file. In the path “C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc” you will have to delete the hosts file and then copy the “hosts” file from the flash package folder’s to the “MOD Folder” to the path “C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc”.
- Once the above step is done, you need to head to the flash package directory and open the “Software” folder to install the “B2CAppSetup.exe” by following the simple on screen instructions.
- Up next simply, click on the “Flashing” folder and run the “Windows Enabler” executable file and turn ON the same from the task bar and then go back to the FLASHING folder to install the “msxml.msi” tool.
- Ensuring that you are having the admin privileges and the active USB rights in your computer, you can now turn off the LG Prada in the Download Mode. Remove the battery and connect your LG Prada to the computer with the help of USB cable and hold the two buttons “Volume UP and Power” and at the same time, insert the battery in the device after which the device will give a small vibration for 2 – 3 seconds.
- Navigate to the Flashing folder and then run the ‘UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe’. On the interface, please change the product type to ‘3GQCT’ and change the mode to the “Emergency” one.
- Open the flash tool and then go to the .kdz file and select the same by clicking on the “Select kdz file”. After this, you need to Normal web upgrade test>Upgrade Start>Select Country & Language>Country: Different Country>Change Language>OK after which then you need to ensure that the device is not disconnected.
- Once the process is completed, the device will be rebooted automatically. Once the device gets booted up, you can check the same on whether the device is updated with the latest ICS or not from the path “Settings > About Phone” where it will show the current firmware as ICS 4.0.4 firmware version. If there is any other firmware version then that means the firmware is not updated and again you need to follow the steps to update.
Note: If your LG Prada gets in boot loop mode or gets stuck at LG Logo, press the power button for 4 – 5seconds to turn off the device and then re follow all the instructions mentioned in this article so as to apply this ICS V20D 4.0.4 Update.
