Meizu has been going through the rumor rounds far a while now about the launch of its flagship Meizu Pro 6 smartphone. The company launched the flagship Meizu Pro 5 smartphone back in September last year with premium specifications like 5.7-inch 1080p 2.5D display, Exynos 7420 SoC, 4GB RAM, 21MP camera and 3050mAh battery. A week ago, the company released an impressive budget-friendly smartphone called as Meizu M3 Note in China priced at 799 Yuan. As teased earlier, Meizu today has officially launched its premium smartphone under its Pro lineup called as Meizu Pro 6 in China. The smartphone is the successor of the Meizu Pro 5 that launched last year.

Talking about the specifications, the Meizu Pro 6 flaunts a 5.2-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full-HD Super AMOLED display with 424ppi as pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 laid on top of it for protection. The display on the smartphone also comes with 3D Touch support called as ‘3D Press’ similar to the Gionee S8 and Apple’s iPhone 6s. Under the hood, the smartphone comes powered by all-new Helio X25 64-bit deca-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz clubbed with Mali-T880 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It has 32GB/64GB of internal storage options and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 128GB. It is the world’s first smartphone to fuel Helio X25 SoC as the company had exclusive rights to this processor.
The smartphone looks premium with an all-metal unibody design, unique antenna placement and comes with very thin side bezels measuring just 0.715 mm. On the camera cordon, the smartphone sports a 21MP rear camera with Sony IMX230 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, laser autofocus and PDAF for quick focus. The device features unique ring-shaped with 10 LED’s for stunning captures. On the front, it has a 5MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture for video chats and selfie lovers. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based latest Flyme OS out of the box. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G-LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and USB Type-C 3.1 port that also supports fast charging.
The device comes with an mBack home button on the front that also double’s up as fingerprint sensor and also includes Cirrus Logic Hi-Fi audio chip for the quality sound experience. The handset comes backed by a 2560mAh battery with mCharge 3.0 fast charging technology that can boost the battery from 0% to 100% in just 60 minutes. The dimensions of the smartphone measure 147.7 x 7.08 x 7.25 mm weighs around 160 grams and comes in Gold, Grey, and Silver color options. The Meizu Pro 6 is priced at 2,499 Yuan (approx $386 / Rs. 25,300) for the 32GB variant while the 64GB version costs 2799 Yuan (approx $433 / Rs. 28,350). Both the variants will be available for purchase in China starting April 23rd.
