As soon as Micromax had put its anchor in the Russian market with the launch of the Micromax Canvas Beat and Canvas Social smartphones, the company has announced one more powerful device, the Micromax Canvas Knight A350 as reported by PCMag in Russia. The latest flagship launched by the company recently is the Micromax Canvas Turbo A250, with the Canvas Turbo Mini to be launched very soon after the pricing was just announced.
The Canvas Knight A350 comes with the 5-inch IPS display having the Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and an octa-core processor clocking at 2 GHz with the support by 2GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and there are areas where Micromax has concentrated to gain some attention – the camera which is a 16-megapixel lens on the rear side with the Autofocus and the LED flash assistance, and the front has a 5-megapixel camera. The device has got a thickness of 7.3mm, and with the sharp edges it does look quite similar to the iPhone / Gionee Elife E6 from the side, though the camera module shape is quite unique.
Whether this is a Dual-SIM device or a Single SIM one, is still a question because although there are slots on either side of the screen, the actual display shows just one tower bar in the status bar. The internal storage included in the Canvas Knight is 32GB, and there might be no expandable storage options. The battery included in the smartphone has a capacity of 2350 mAh, and the device would support the 3G HSPA+ connectivity along with the other standard connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, aGPS.
Micromax has decided to come up with a gold color option where the device would be available in a Black + Gold combination, and the other color options are Black and White. This smartphone can now be purchased for Rs. 19,999 in all leading online and offline stores.
