Micromax Canvas Mega E353 & Canvas Mega 4G with 5.5″ Display Officially Launched

The domestic smartphone maker, Micromax has today launched two new smartphones in its Canvas Mega series called as Canvas Mega E353 and Canvas Mega 4G Q417. The Canvas Mega E353 comes with basic specifications and is priced at Rs. 7,999 while the Canvas Mega 4G comes with mid-range specifications and costs Rs. 10,990.

Commenting on the launch Mr. Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax Informatics said, “Phablet market has grown exponentially in the last quarter with over 200% growth in the segment. With more than 70% of neo-users in the age group of 15-24 years extensively streaming videos on their smartphones; the growth of phablet market has been triggered exponentially. The Canvas Mega E353 features a 5.5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 267ppi and comes powered by MediaTek MT6592M octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The device has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage and microSD card slot for further expansion. The device sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter for selfie lovers.

The device supports dual sim dual standby and comes with basic connectivity options like 2G/3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port. The handset comes backed by a 2820mAh battery that can easily last for an entire day on mixed usage and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The Canvas Mega 4G flaunts the same 5.5-inch HD (1280x 720 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 267ppi. Under the hood, is the MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and can be further expanded using a microSD card slot. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

On the camera front, the device sports a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing snapper for video chats and selfie clicks. As the name indicates, the device supports 4G-LTE and comes with other basic connectivity features like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port. The smartphone comes powered by a 2500mAh battery that can easily last for a day on single charge.
