After launching Canvas Knight 2 and the Canvas Silver 5 earlier this year, Micromax seems to be ready with another 4G compatible smartphone called the Canvas Nitro 4G E455. The device is third in the company’s Nitro series and is the successor for Canvas Nitro 2 that was launched in May 2015. There are not many changes in specifications of both the devices.
The Canvas Nitro 3 flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720) IPS display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top it. The device comes powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. But the box content shows it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.4GHz octa-core 64-bit processor. The device comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with microSD card support for expansion upto 32GB.
On the photography front, the device features a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and 5MP front snapper for video calling. Nitro 4G uses the same set of sensors as used in its predecessor. It is dual sim device, and connectivity includes 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, microUSB port and it also features OTG functionality.
The device comes packed with a 2500mAh capacity battery that offers 8 hours of talk time and lasts up to 273 hours on standby. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box and the dimensions of the device measure 140.5 x 69.75 x 9.3 mm weighing around 135 grams.
Apart from all this, we cannot find the 3.5mm audio jack for inserting headphones on this phone (above image).
Nitro 4G will be available in Black color and is priced on the online website at Rs.10,430. The official launch of the device is expected later this week. Micromax Canvas Nitro 4G will be a tough competitor for the likes of Yu Yureka Plus, Phicomm Passion 660 and Lenovo K3 Note among others.
