The Indian smartphone maker, Micromax has today launched a new budget 4G enabled device adding to its canvas series called as Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G. Considering the increased competition in the Indian smartphone market, the Canvas Xpress 4G is also priced aggressively at Rs. 6,599. The smartphone will be sold exclusively online via Flipkart, and the company also has partnered with Airtel to offer Double Data offers to Airtel 3G and 4G consumers.
Regarding specs, the Canvas Xpress 4G comes with a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display with 294ppi as pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it. Under the hood, it comes equipped with MediaTek MT6735P quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz coupled with 2GB RAM. The device has 16GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card slot upto 32GB.
On the camera section, the smartphone features an 8MP rear camera with autofocus, Omnivision sensor, LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for video chats and perfect selfie images. The device supports dual sim dual standby with 4G-LTE connectivity and also includes basic connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi and microUSB port.
The device comes backed by a 2000mAh battery that delivers upto 6.5 hours of talk time and upto 182 hours of standby time. Like other Micromax devices, the Canvas Xpress 4G also comes pre-loaded with several apps like App Center, Amazon Kindle, Scandid, Chattz, Clean Master, Hike and many more. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the customized skin out of the box.
Recently, a new 4G-LTE smartphone from Micromax called as Canvas Blaze 4G+ listed on the company’s official website without the pricing and availability details of the smartphone. The Canvas Blaze 4G+ features a 4.5-inch display, MediaTek MT6735M quad-core SoC, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 8MP main camera, 2MP front shooter, 1750mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
