Motorola Droid 2 – Steps to Install Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 Firmware

Procedure to Update Motorola Droid 2 with Android 4.0 ICS:

  • Download ICS Zip Package in your computer along with the Google Apps package. Once you download the same, connect the phone to the computer and copy these both files in your device’s SD Card.
  • Once you copy the files, disconnect the USB Cable from the computer
  • Once it’s done, you now need to boot the device in the Clock Work Mod Recovery and if possible then do take the NANDROID backup if you wish to revert back to the original current firmware.
  • Once you boot into the recovery mode, you need to select the option of “Wipe Data / Factory Reset” from the main menu to wipe all the cache data.
  • Go to the path install zip from sd card > choose zip from sd card > “ICS Zip file which you have placed in Phone” followed by the “Google Apps Zip Package which you palced in your phone” and then select the option of “reboot system now” from the main menu.
  • Once the update process is done, the device will be landing up in the recovery mode. Now, select “++++ Go Back ++++” > “reboot system now” to reboot the phone. That’s it you have now successfully updated the nook color with the latest ICS Android 4.0.3 firmware.
