So, last time we saw on how you can easily root and install the custom recovery in your Motorola Droid BIONIC and now in this article we will check out on how you can install the latest version of Ice Cream Sandwich Alpha version. Please note that this version of firmware is still in the making and is not the stable version. Though some of the things may work well but still most of the things still are not ported and are waiting to be ported. In the coming versions, the same will be ported. So, just in case if you are eager to apply this update then first up you need to ensure that as of now there is no way that you can revert back to your stock version apart from the ROM Manager method which we will see.

- Ensure that you have ADMIN privileges in your computer so as To get the full USB read / write access. Close all the tools like Firewalls, Antivirus suites and also the PC Suites in your computer or else these tools will tend to interrupt the process of rooting. Ensure that the USB Debugging is enabled in your phone. USB Debugging Mode in your phone can be entered from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging.
