Motorola Droid Ultra and Motorola Droid MAXX to get Android 4.4.2 Update – Details

Motorola is going to update its Motorola Droid Ultra and Motorola Droid MAXX with Android 4.4.2 after its flagship Moto X device. These devices were among the first few smartphones to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update after it was released by Google last year in the month of December, but these devices were never been spotted again after that.

The users of these two devices are being mailed to participate in a soak test before the updates is circulate. For few years Motorola lets its users to try the software update ahead of the official release through the Motorola Feedback Network – soak test program. This program is conducted mainly to find the potential issues in the update before it goes official. The company has mailed its users and claimed that the new software update is in the final stages and getting for the release.

Android 4.4.2 KitKat updates is mainly for camera enhancements and to give improved security to its users. The update from Android 4.4 KitKat to Android 4.4.2 KitKat has taken a while now and if everything goes according to the plan of the company, the update should be hitting the Motorola Droid Ultra and Motorola Droid MAXX Smartphones in few days.

Motorola Droid Ultra and Motorola Droid MAXX have been a Verizon exclusive devices and these DROID line device are famous for the extra long battery life they provide. The users of these handsets should keep an eye on their device as the update can hit them any time and since it is not a big update we cannot expect any major changes apart from few minor but fixes and tweaks.
