Motorola Moto G to be sold for $99.99 Off-Contract with Verizon – Confirmed via Leaked Memo

Best Buy is set to sell the Motorola Moto G for Verizon, for as low as $99.99 off-contract. Couple of days earlier, an employee from Best Buy leaked an image of the Verizon Moto G’s packing by posting it on his Google+ account and also mentioned that the phone will be costing $99.99 off-contract. The sales are going to start from January 9th.

Now the Moto G is selling at $99.99 at Best Buy as rumored earlier, without the customers having to sign-up for a new two-year contract with Verizon. We are not yet confirmed of which variant (8 GB or 16 GB) is going to be sold at $99.99 but normally the 8 GB variant will go for sale at $179 and the 16 GB variant with $199.

The phone is currently landing in stores and is available for sale as soon as it arrives, a spokesman (Jonathan Sandler) from Best Buy told The Times.

Best Buy is selling the Moto G in its retail stores, including the Best Buy Mobile stores, but for now even Best Buy is not taking online orders for the Moto G nor does the carrier Verizon on its website. At $99.99 the Moto G is one of the cheapest Smart Phones to go on sale in U.S. without a contract to be signed. The handset has arrived little earlier than expected from U.S. carriers.

Another image leak suggests that the phone would be on sale starting from January 9th at least from Best Buy, but we cannot take it as the official launch date as it could be changed. This handset will come with KitKat OS out of the box, pre-installed with some customizations. The back cover can be removed and exchanged for a different choice of the color for the customers.

Will the 4.5 inch HD screen device be your next device? For a mere $99.99 definitely it should be a pick for this New Year. Hopefully the device should be available online very soon.
