The Nexus 7 2013 edition is now available for the Indian buyers directly from the Play Store, just like the Nexus 5 is. The pricing for the new Nexus 7 is set at Rs. 20,999 for the 16GB version and Rs. 23,999 for the 32GB version. Both the storage options are available with the Wi-Fi connectivity option but the LTE unlocked variant is available only with the 32GB storage option and the price for that is Rs. 27,999.
The 2013 model of Nexus 7 comes with the HD display with the screen resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, and the pixel density of 323 PPI which quite good for a tablet device. It is an IPS display, and comes with the scratch-resistant corning gorilla glass protection. Running the Android 4.3, the tablet is expected to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat very soon. It is powered by Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon™ S4 Pro clocking at 1.5GHz, and there is a 2GB RAM support.
The Nexus 7 doesn’t come with any color options, thus you can choose based on either the connectivity or the storage size, and there is a battery of 3950 mAh included in the tablet. There are two cameras – 5-megapixel rear camera with the autofocus, and a 1.2-megapixel fixed-focus front facing camera. The tablet just like the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, supports the wireless charging with the Qi technology. Connectivity wise, these Nexus tablets have always been good because you get to see a plethora of options which include LTE variant, and the common ones in both include Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz) 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC with the Android Beam feature.
There are dual stereo speakers provided by Fraunhofer and the makers of the tablet, Acer, has done it all good to make the device run smoothly while playing high-end games on it. It is available right now on the Play Store and ships in 2-7 days, and there are sleeves too available for purchase if someone wanted to look for some protection (not protective from falls), and these sleeves are available in Gray/White, Black/Gray and Bright Yellow colors.
