The Nokia XL is the larger variant in the X series Smartphones which will be running on the forked version of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and will also feature many of Nokia’s and Microsoft’s famous services. On the other hand we have the Motorola Moto G, which is a pretty good one in competition and is also considered as one of the powerful smartphones in the mid-range Android smartphone market. The Nokia XL flaunts a 5 inch IPS LCD display with 480 x 800 pixels resolutions and has dimensions measuring up to 141.4 x 77.7 x 10.9 mm. It also weighs quite a bit with a weight of 190 grams. The Motorola Moto G sports a 4.5 inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, while rendering 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and the device’s overall dimensions measure up to 129.9 x 65.9 x 11.6 mm and weighs 143 grams. So the Nokia XL is bigger in size and also on the heavier side but Moto G has much better resolutions given better viewing angles.

The Moto G has a faster processor with a 1.2 GHz quad core cortex-A7 processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, and the Nokia device powers up the XL via a 1 GHz dual core A5 processor coupled with an Adreno 203 GPU. The RAM on the Moto G is at 1 GB where as the Nokia XL has a lesser RAM of 768 MB. Moreover the Moto G runs on the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat Operating system.

Camera / Storage

The Nokia XL comes with a 5 MP rear camera autofocus and LED flash, and a 2 MP front camera whereas the Motorola Moto G comes with a 5 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front camera. The Nokia device has a 4 GB of Internal memory that can be extended further to 32 GB via micro SD card, but the Moto G comes is 8 and 16 GB variants and do not provide any memory extension.

Moto G is a powerful device that has made a buzz that was offered for relatively less price but Nokia XL pricing is still under cover and we haven’t seen it performing yet so we cannot give any verdict yet. The XL is going to be launched soon, and will be Nokia’s perfect hit against Motorola’s re-entry into the Indian smartphone market, but still, the Moto G could hold the edge in it’s own ways. Nokia is rumored to be setting the price of the XL to somewhere around Rs. 13000 which is the price at which Moto G is selling hot.
