How to remove Back Cover (Battery Door) of Motorola Moto G [Quick Tip]

The Motorola Moto G is one of the most popular smartphones right now in India, thanks to the limited availability, pricing and the matched specs which all together make this a perfect smartphones for the mid-range smartphone buyers. Now, when you purchase a smartphone with a capability of doing more than what it just provides, there are a few things you need to do initially before checking out the endless possibilities. Same is the case with the Moto G, which can be rooted before you can do a lot more with it.

But something else that you can do along with the rooting and stuff, is the physical look changes. The back cover is not easy to remove, but it’s not impossible. The Moto G back cover comes in different colors, and there are a few sellers who sell the back covers, and that is yet another way one can keep changing the look of the device. Here’s how you can remove the back cover of the Moto G.

To remove your battery door, you need to insert your finger nails at the bottom and lift the door. This is because, the top is a little inserted and holds the grip of the back cover, and thus if you attempt to lift the back cover from the top, it can break. Press the center area where the Motorola logo is present, and with the other hand, lift the back cover from the bottom and it would slowly pop out with a cracking sound.

That’s easy to look but a bit tricky to do, but still once you remove the back cover, it won’t be hard to do it again if you are going to start changing the back covers based on the color on regular basis. Mind you, we are talking about the back cover and haven’t talked about the battery, because the battery cannot be removed with ease. We did try it our way, and voiding the warranty that the first thing that would happen here, and if careless, you could damage the battery permanently.
