The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Oppo has launched a new device in China called as Oppo A33. The smartphone comes with entry-level specifications and is priced on the higher side equivalent to 1,499 Yuan (approx $235/Rs. 15,500). The device is available in Black and White colors and is currently listed as out-of-stock on the official Oppo store.
Coming to its specifications, the Oppo A33 comes with a 5-inch (960×540 pixels) qHD display with a pixel density of 220ppi. Under the hood, is the Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage and microSD card slot for further expansion. The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Color OS 2.1 out of the box.
On the camera front, the device sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper with many beautification modes for perfect selfie captures. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port with OTG support. The handset comes backed by a 2400mAh battery that delivers upto 8 hours of talk time and upto 250 hours of standby time.
Though there are many other smartphones available in the market that offer better specifications at much lower prices, it is the beautiful design and robust build quality of the Oppo A33 that makes it unique from other devices. The A33 comes with a metallic frame, and glass cover on the front and back of the handset. The beautifully designed smartphone is very sleek with just 7.5 mm thickness and weighs around 145 grams.
Oppo A33 is the well-designed smartphone, but it definitely falls short when it comes to the specifications. There are many other smartphones like OnePlus X and Lenovo Vibe S1 that sports a similar design, also offers high-end specifications and are available in the same price range.
