Japan favorite network operator NTT DoCoMo in their homeland has released 29 devices for the summer 2012 line up. It’s the turn of SoftBank the second best Japanese carrier to come with new smartphone coming in this quarter. So Softbank going head to head with NTT DoCoMo but DoCoMo doesn’t seems to give any room for other carriers. Definitely the trend is towards the Android powered smartphones and SoftBank does well to come out with a Sharp Pantone 5 107 SH smartphone which is powered by Google’s own operating system.

Introduced as “Land of the Rising Sun” this phone from Sharp comes with exotic function of radiation detector. While the US and Europe are still getting used to see water proof and dust proof phones, these kind of features in smartphone are existing since a long time and Pantone 5 107SH is no exception as this receives IP certification. As far as the pricing goes, there is nothing official report and the phone will be made available in July. Not much of the details were made available during announcement.
