Last month, three Chinese companies made their entry into the Indian market. Meizu launched M1 Note, ZTE Nubia launched Nubia Z9 Mini and Coolpad announces Dazen X7 and Dazen 1 in India in May. Now, another Chinese brand called Phicomm has entered in India’s smartphone market. Phicomm has launched it’s Passion 660 smartphone in India. The phone will be available starting 9 June at Rs 10,999, exclusively on Amazon.
The Phicomm Passion 660 features a 5-inch IPS full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution display with a pixel density of 441ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. The smartphone runs the company’s Expect OS 5.0 based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Is a dual-SIM device, which can also use the second Nano-SIM slot as a microSD card slot.
The Passion 660 houses a 13-megapixel rear camera featuring Sony IMX214 sensor and f/2.0 aperture, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor. The 16GB inbuilt storage on the Passion 660 can be expanded via microSD card (up to 64GB).
One the connectivity front, the Phicomm Passion 660 features 4G LTE (with support for both Band 3 and Band 40 in India), 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Direct functionality, USB, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0 options. It measures 139.5x69x7.3mm, weighs 110 grams, and is backed by a 2300mAh battery.
The smartphone also includes a bunch of sensors including accelerometer, e-compass, barometer, light, proximity, step counter, and gesture sensors. The device uses Qualcomm Snapdragon Voice+ technology and two microphones for clear voice chats. The smartphone will be available in Black and White colour variants.
