Reliance Communications seems to have been gone big this time as it has entered into an exclusive collaboration with Google Inc. under which all the Android Phones of all the leading manufacturers likes Samsung, HTC, SONY and LG will now come with FREE 3G Connection. This FREE 3G connection will entitle users a free Reliance 3G Sim card which will come with a free 3G data usage of 1GB which has the validity of 6 months. The best part of this is that you can use other sim cards too at any point of time and will not be like the network locked devices. As of now there is only one bundle plan which has been disclosed but if the response is good, there will many more exciting plans.
RCom will soon start advertising the same starting from Saturday as it said it will spend around 30 Crore Rupees for the promotion. This is the 4th such deal for Google as it has similar agreements with Verizon in US, Telstra in Australia and one in Japan. If one compares this deal with other competitors then Apple too has come up with similar bundling of free data packs with Aircel and airtel. This tie up with Android will substantially increase the user base of Reliance Communications and also will drive the Android market, all thanks to the free 3G data usage. Huawei and ZTE too entered similar kind of agreements with Idea Cellular.
