Procedure to Root Galaxy Nexus CDMA Version:
- Before proceeding, you need to first need to download the Galaxy Nexus CDMA Rooting Package in your compute and then extract the same preferably to your desktop. In the process of extraction, you will be prompted to enter the password. Enter the password as “androidadvices.com” without inverted comas. As of now this process doesn’t support Linux or Mac based computers.
- Once, the files are extracted, you need to open the Odin flash tool as shown in the below screen capture. Now, turn Off the phone so as to enter the phone in the download mode. Now, once the device gets powered Off, turn ON the device and while it turns ON, you need to press the Volume Down + Power Button.
- In the download mode with the help of original USB cable connect the device to the computer while keeping the Odin opened in your computer. You will see that the ID : COM section in the Odin will turn yellow which will mean that all the drivers are successfully installed.
- Now, click on the PDA tab and select the file which is named as “GalaxyNEXUS_CDMA_rootingPACKAGE”. Now, all you need to do is to click on “Start”. Within 10 minutes, the whole process of rooting gets finished and then the phone will be restarted automatically.
