Gionee had launched the Marathon M3 smartphone, late last year. The Marathon M3 is the first Android smartphone that boasts of a 5,000mAh battery. Gionee Marathon M3 has a 5-inch IPS display with 1280*720 pixels resolution. The phone comes with 1GB of DDR3 RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded MicroSD card up to 128GB. Marathon M3 is powered by a MediaTek’s quad-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.3GHz which comes with Mali 450 GPU as the dedicated graphics card .The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
Following is the detailed guide to root the Gionee Marathon M3 smartphone. Rooting an Android phone means giving yourself ‘root’, or admin rights. After rooting, you can flash the customized versions of the Android operating system.

- Ensure the device battery is charged enough to prevent unexpected device shutdown (due to battery drain) while rooting.
