Procedure to Root & Install Custom Recovery Image in LG Optimus 3D:
- First up you need to Download the Recovery Manager package from here to your computer and once you have downloaded, extract the same. From the extracted files, you need to open the adb files so that all the adb drivers are installed in the computer which are very important for installing the custom mod recovery. Ensure that all the files after extraction match with the one which is mentioned below.
- Now, from the extracted files you will have to open the file named as “Recovery Manager.bat” and then connect your phone to the computer ensuring that the USB Debugging is enabled in your phone.
- Now, you will see that on screen there will be 5 options as shown in the below screen capture. If you are on the custom ROM Firmware then you can type 1 and press enter. Similarly, you can select the corresponding option like Clock Work mod recovery, touch clockwork mod recovery.
- As soon as the device is rooted successfully and the custom recovery image is installed successfully, you need to select “Exit” option in the command prompt window. Now, to check whether the device is successfully installed with the custom recovery image you will have to boot your device in the recovery mode. Please note that once the device is rooted successfully, you then need to install the Super User app from the Google Play Store.
Note: At any point of time just in case if the process of firmware update gets stopped due to any reason, all you need to do is restart the process from the start by re inserting the battery.
