Quick Pre Requisistes:
- Before proceeding you need to download some of the things and keep things handy in your computer:
- (Optional) After downloading the above two files you need to install the ADB in your computer. It only recommended if you are unable to install the Clock Work mod Recovery which we will see in the procedure as ADB process is bit of a lengthy process.
- Ensure that all the data which is there stored in the phone memory is backed up as in the process the data present in the phone memory may get corrupted or get erased. With the help of below mentioned tips, you can backup and restore things.
SMS Messages – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts Stored in Phone Memory – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Videos, Images, Videos & Files etc.– Copy to internal / External SD Card,
Internet & MMS Settings – Backup all the settings from “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- Ensure the phone is left with the minimum of 60% battery charge so as to get away from a situation of phone getting turn Off in the middle of process.
- Enable USB Debugging in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging” as shown in the below image.
- Close all the tools in your computer like Antivirus, Firewall and PC Suite in your computer as these tools may interrupt the process of the rooting.
