Procedure to Root & Install Clock Wok Mod Recovery in LG Optimus One P500:
- Assuming that you have downloaded the Z4 Root Zip file and the Clock Work Recovery Mod Image from the Pre Requisistes section last page to your computer, you need to now connect the device to the computer using the USB cable which you got at the time of purchase and copy these two files into your phone.
- Once you have copied the files, disconnect the phone and from your hone open the Z4 Root.apk file and in that select the option of “Permanent root” as shown in the below screen capture. Once you select the option, the device may get booted or may flicker for around 30 seconds.
- After this, the device will be rooted successfully and after this lets proceed to the installation of Clock Work Mod Recovery in LG Optimus One P500.
- Now, you need to connect the phone again to the computer and need to open the terminal or the command prompt in your computer and need to enter the following commands as it is.

mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock5 /system
cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
chmod 755 /system/bin/flash_image
mount -o remount,ro -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock5 /system
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
reboot recovery
- So, as soon as you enter the above mentioned commands, you will then see that the device will be booting in the recovery mode which is nothing but the Clock Work Mod Recovery Mode. So, that’s it there you go, you have now successfully not only rooted the LG Optimus One P500 but also has installed the Clock Work Mod Recovery in your phone.
