- In the due course of the process the data which is stored in the phone gets erased, so you need to take a backup of the same. Just in case if the data is lost, you can restore the same. You can refer to the below mentioned tips for backup.
Notes – Backup in the mail so that you can then restore manually
Text messages – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Phone Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Pictures, Music, Videos, Files etc.– Copy to internal / External SD Card,
Internet & MMS Settings – Backup all the settings from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- Now, ensure that the device is charged to at least 60% so as to make sure that the device doesn’t get turned off in the process of rooting process. The USB Debugging in your phone should be enabled. The USB debugging can be enabled from the path Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging.
- Close all tools in your computer like the Antivirus tools, KIES PC Suite and also the firewalls as these tools tend to interrupt the rooting process. If there are any other lag fixes installed in your phone then you need to uninstall the same or remove the same from your phone as this may hamper the process of rooting.
