Procedure to Root Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE:
- Before proceeding, Download Tab 8.9 LTE Rooting Kernel and Odin from here to your computer. Once, you download these both tools you will have to open the Odin tool in your computer.
- Turn Off the Galaxy Tab so as to enter the tab in the Download Mode. To enter the tab in the download mode, you need to Hold Volume Up rocker key + Volume Down rocker key and Power ON the device in the download mode. If the device powers up in the normal mode then you need to try the same again.
- Now, you need to connect the tab to the computer using the Original USB cable to the computer using the Odin opened in the PC after which the ID : COM section will turn yellow which will mean that all the drivers have been successfully installed.
- After this you need to click on “PDA” tab to select the file named as “sgh-i957-rooted-kernel-v2” and click on “Start” to start the process of rooting process. Please note that you need to match all the selections in the Odin as shown below.
- Once the process is completed, the device will be restarted and then there you go the device is successfully rooted. Now, all you need to do is unplug the tab from computer and download the app called “Superuser” from Android market Place and install the same.
For Force Close Issues:
Just in case if you are facing issues with the force close errors you need to turn off the phone and enter the device in the recovery mode. In the recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now option.
