Samsung might have ruling the high end smart phone segment, but what about the low end market? The South Korean market has not impressed the budget phone market and so the company is working on a device that will be the competition to the Moto E smart phone that is priced at Rs. 6999 with the latest Android 4.4.2 Operating system. The company is working on a new smartphone with model numbers – SM-G357M, SM-G357F and SM-G350E which will come as an entry level devices.
From the GFXbench database sighting, the smartphone will be coming with a 4.3 inch WVGA display and will be powered with a Renesas MP5232 SoC (Cortex A9) with processor, clocking at 1.2 GHz coupled with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and 1 GB of RAM. This device will be coming out of the box with Android 4.4.2 Operating System and can also be a dual SIM variant.
The rear camera is at 5 MP accompanied by a 0.3 MP front facing camera for video calling. The on-board memory of the device is at 8 GB and nothing was mentioned about the extendable memory and will feature the usual set of connectivity options. In a user agent profile on Samsung website some specifications like the Android version and the resolutions of the display have been confirmed. Moreover from the import listing for the sample units on the Zauba.com the company has been working on the phone from the last year and we can expect of an announcement of this device soon.
You can also find this device on the Samsung Sweden support website and that confirms the existence of this device. We don’t have any word on the final pricing and branding of the device for now but definitely expecting them to pop out soon. This will be an entry level smart phone that will be competing with the Smart phones like, Moto E, Micromax Unite 2 and Lava Iris X1 smart phones.
