Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro with 4GB RAM & Android 6.0.1 Surfaced on GFXBench

Samsung has been in the rumors for a while now about the launch of the upgraded variant of the recently launched Galaxy A9 called as Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro. Today, a new smartphone with model number SM-A9100 that is supposed to be Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has been spotted on the GFXBench listing revealing the most of the specifications of the device. The smartphone will come with similar all-metal unibody design as its predecessor, but will have upgraded specifications.

As per the GFXBench listing, the Galaxy A9 Pro will feature a slightly smaller 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD display offering a pixel density of 401ppi. Under the hood, it packs unspecified 64-bit Snapdragon octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz clubbed with Adreno 510 GPU. We can expect the device to come powered by newest Snapdragon 652 chipset that was also used in the earlier launched Galaxy A9. It will support dual sim dual standby and runs on latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based Samsung’s TouchWiz UI laid on top.

The smartphone will come with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage and can also be further expanded using a microSD card slot. On the camera part, the device will sport a 16MP rear camera with flash when compared to the 13MP shooter seen on the Galaxy A9. On the camera part, it has an 8MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfie lovers. Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and microUSB 2.0 port.

The smartphone will also include a fingerprint sensor with NFC support for Samsung Pay virtual payments. Although the there is no information about the battery capacity we can expect it to come backed by a similar battery capacity seen on its predecessor with Quick Charge support. The company has confirmed none of these details, but we can expect it to launch the smartphone in the upcoming MWC 2016 event which is just a few weeks away. A quick recall, Samsung has recently launched two new mid-range smartphones in its Galaxy A series called as Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) & Galaxy A7 (2016) in India priced at Rs. 29,400 and Rs. 33,400 respectively. Both the smartphones feature all-metal unibody design and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The Galaxy A5 (2016) features 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 615 SoC, 13MP camera with OIS, 5MP front shooter, fingerprint sensor and 2900mAh battery. On the other hand, the Galaxy A7 (2016) features 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, fingerprint sensor, NFC and 3300mAh battery.
