Recently, the next-gen Samsung Galaxy J-series smartphones called as Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) were spotted on TENAA revealing most of the information on the devices. Now, the successor of the Samsung Galaxy A9 called as Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro with model number SM-A9100 has received the FCC and TENAA certifications confirming that the smartphone will be first roll-out in China followed by the US and other major markets. The smartphone also popped up on GFXBench listing and AnTuTu benchmarking sites earlier this month. The TENAA listing shows that the device will sport an all-metal unibody design and high-end specifications.
According to the listing, the Galaxy A9 Pro will flaunt a phablet-sized 6-inch (1920×1080 pixels) full-HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D arc glass laid on top. Under the hood, it is expected to come powered by Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz clubbed with Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It will support dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It comes with 32GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 128GB.
Regarding the camera, the smartphone will sport a 16MP rear camera with OIS, LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera for video chats and stunning selfie captures. Connectivity options on the device are listed as 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, ANT+ and microUSB 2.0 port. The handset is expected to fuel a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support and also features a fingerprint sensor for superior security. The dimensions of the smartphone 161.7 x 80.9 x 7.9 mm weighs around 210 grams and is listed in Black, Gold and White color options.
