The “S” factor in the Galaxy devices has never kept itself away from the users, as the Samsung guys have come up with a new product in the S-series, with the GT-I9070 in the scene with the name Samsung Galaxy S Advance. The phone would be something similar to the Galaxy R, which had the specifications better than that of the Samsung Galaxy S, but a few less than the better Galaxy S II.
The design would be looking a lot slimmer, and different on the back side, with extended curves on the top and bottom back surface. Nothing much with the basic specifications has changed, because the S Advance would be coming with the 1GHz processor and the 4-inch SUPER AMOLED touchscreen with the 480 x 800 pixels, which the Galaxy S has in its list of specs. The Galaxy S Advance internally has the dual-core processor, and this would be something supporting the high speed to run the gingerbread OS.
The camera gets a better support, with the availability of the LED flash, which was always missed by the Galaxy S users, although the lens would stay at 5-megapixels. The video recording is possible to the maximum of 720p HD quality.
One of the best changes one would get is the default operating system version, which is the latest Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system, while the Galaxy S comes with the Android 2.2 Froyo, which the users have to update manually. The Galaxy S II on the other hand, comes with a larger screen, a better display and a 8-megapixel camera, having a capability to record the videos in 1080p quality. Comparing the specifications, the Galaxy S Advance can be purely put ahead of Galaxy S but well behind the S II. One of the noticeable differences that can be seen from the front, is the bottom home key, which has become longer.
This phone would be kept in the list of devices which are expected to launch in the Mobile World Congress next month.
