The Galaxy Nexus smartphone from Samsung, power packed with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS has been announced and soon would be launched in the market. The first few countries which would see the Galaxy Nexus in the market would be the Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, United States and United Kingdom. The availability in the other Asian countries is not yet in sight, but we have got the expected pricing and release time of the phone in a few countries.
The confirmed network operators till now are the NTT DOCOMO in Japan, Three, Vodafone and O2 in the U.K. and Verizon in United States. Vodafone might be the operator to sell the Galaxy Nexus in Austria, but this is still a speculation as there is no official word from Vodafone.
The Galaxy Nexus would be priced at 679 EUR (US $936) in Austria, while in Sweden it is quite lesser with the price of 5500 SEK, equivalent to USD 831, and Denmark till now has the least price of the Galaxy Nexus with the tag of 4400 DKK which is around USD 817.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is one of the best Android smartphones around, with the specifications that beats any other Android smartphone currently, even the Samsung Galaxy S II. And with the disappointment the gadget lovers have seen with the Apple iPhone 4S with no much improvements, the Galaxy Nexus with the 4.65-inch touchscreen with the Super AMOLED HD display would be a better choice having multiple advanced features than the former. It is a NFC enabled device with the rear 5-Megapixel camera and the 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
