Imagine life without sharing? And when it comes to maps, the much awaited and surprised feature of sharing the directions is here. So for all those who were waiting for this feature, it’s finally here. Google has finally made this possible in the latest version of Maps. While this latest version of Google Maps with sharing capability is still yet to be pushed officially, you can now download this app and install the same in your android smartphones and tablets. Let’s check out in detail on what are all the features which are present in this new version. This app version also allows users to dismiss the GPS nag which pops up as shown in the below screen capture. This new app also supports the Google Glass and works pretty much fine too when compared with the current version of Maps for Google Glass.

The moment you discover for the directions from Location A to Location B where A and B can be source and destination, the apps can be shared via map along with the detailed list of directions along with the time, distance and other key details like source and destination. This new app also comes with the additional permissions as well which includes access to Bluetooth settings and devices along with the ability to run at the startup. Seems like Google Maps will also be starting with the check-in styled feature in coming days to come. While, we haven’t come across anything in the UI, but it’s pegged to be found in various strings present in the code.

Since this app is signed digitally signed, when you will download and install this app, this will overwrite the existing version of Google Maps. This app is stable and doesn’t come with any known bugs when compared with the current and latest version of Google Maps.
